This is the apartment/hotel we stayed at on our first night in Amiens, France. It is very reasonable to use as a hotel as it is only 39 Euros a night and includes all amenities including dishes, dishwasher, stove top, microwave, and refrigerator. Plus you still get all of the things you expect at a hotel.  Because of  all this for someone who wants to travel to Amiens on a budget it can be a real life saver since meals can be prepared and eaten there, instead of eating out constantly. Also, it is very centrally located only a five minute walk from the train station as well as town center. They also serve a full breakfast every morning for 9 Euros if you want to eat there. Over all it was a very pleasant experience. We only spent the 39 euros for the night as well as 2 euros for internet and .90 Euros for the city tax. I recommend this place for anyone coming for a visit. It is much better for the price compared to the Holiday in a few doors down charging 130 Euros a night.

This is the hotel we like to stay at when we come down to Galveston. It is reasonably priced, every room has a view of the gulf, and it is right across the street from the beach. Plus it is located right by a lot of awesome restaurants.

This is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, restaurants on the island. They have been cooking up some awesome seafood for over 100 years. We went here on our first trip to Galveston together and loved their food.

Fisherman's Wharf is another great seafood restaurant located on the inside channel between the island and the mainland of Texas. This restaurant is awesome for its crazy fresh seafood selection and the somewhat unique dishes they crank out. There specials are definitely worth a look because that is where we have found the best suggestions from this restaurant. In addition, the wait staff is usually pretty helpful and in the know of things to do around town, which makes this a great restaurant to go to at the start of your vacation.

This website just takes you to the city of Galveston's homepage. They have a lot of links to things going on around the island whether they are seasonal events, or they are just everyday occurrences like the mansions on broadway tours.
